Gail Ingram is the author of Contents Under Pressure (Pūkeko Publications 2019), a novella told in poetry, which includes two award-winning poems. Her poetry and short stories are widely published in New Zealand and overseas, including Poetry New Zealand, takahē, Atlanta Review, Blue Five Notebook, Flash Frontier, Cordite Poetry Review and Manifesto. Awards include winner of New Zealand Poetry Society international poetry competition, Runner Up National Flash Fiction Day NZ Micro Madness, HC Poets In The Waiting Room, finalist for Best Small Fictions, shortlist for Fish Short Prize, and nominated for the Pushcart Prize.

Most recently, she received the 2019 Caselberg International Poetry Prize. She is a poetry editor for takahē magazine and a short fiction editor for Flash Frontier: An Adventure in Short Fiction. She lives and writes on the Port Hills of Christchurch. See more at https://www.theseventhletter.nz/

She teaches at WRITE ON School for Young Writers in Christchurch and holds a Masters of Creative Writing from Massey University.

WRITE ON is one of our long term supporter and project partner. Recently they coordinated and deliver 7 workshops as part of our Paint n’ Pen project, along with Watch This Space. It was a celebration of street art and storytelling.
