Charlotte Grimshaw is the author of seven novels and two short story collections. She has been awarded the Sargeson Fellowship and the Katherine Mansfield Prize, been shortlisted for the Asia Pacific Commonwealth Prize, shortlisted twice for the Frank O’Connor International Prize, and won the Montana Fiction Award and Montana Medal for Book of the Year. She has been Book Reviewer of the Year, most recently at the 2018 Voyager Media Awards, and fiction finalist in the NZ Post Award. Her Metro column won a Qantas Award. She currently writes for the New Zealand Listener and The Spinoff. Her new novel, Mazarine, a literary thriller about family, disappearances, terrorism and love in the age of Trump, is set in Auckland, London, Paris and Buenos Aires, and has been described as “masterly” and “a beautifully evocative, sensual story of a woman’s search for freedom and love.”
